2020 was a year of many changes for the library. The board of trustees welcomed a new executive board and four new trustees. The library staff and our community executed a very complicated pivot to online work, programs, learning and reading. The building continued to undergo renovations to the rear dome roof. And now with the COVID-19 vaccine rollout, we can see a pinprick of light at the end of the proverbial tunnel. I am grateful to our community, board of trustees, friends of the library and, most of all, our staff for surviving and thriving through a difficult year.
Please continue to check our website for service updates and remember that contactless pickup service for physical items continues, along with expanded access to digital resources and a variety of programs online at no cost to residents through the Zoom platform. If you haven’t seen it yet, take a look at our youtube channel, accessible through our website. Here you’ll find recordings of programs you may have missed, along with instructional videos from your library staff for many of the electronic resources we offer.
Our staff are in the building during regular hours to answer phones and email. Library card registration is available online – we’ll mail a card to you so that you can take advantage of our free digital resources. Books and other materials may be returned to our outside book drop.
Please stay healthy and safe!
