From the Director

Public libraries have a huge impact on their communities. Blackstone Library is no exception — for over 125 years, the library has served Branford, evolving to meet changing community needs over the years.

Today, we offer classes and events that support a range of literacies (early literacy, adult literacy, digital literacy, and more) and engage and inspire the minds of people of all ages and backgrounds; offer access to a dynamic collection of books, movies, music, and other resources (physical AND digital); provide tech help on phones, tablets, computers, apps and the internet; offer free WiFi connection inside the library and on its grounds; and provide opportunities for our community to gather around shared interests.

In big and small ways, libraries transform lives. You can help have an impact on your community, too. Please consider making a donation to the Blackstone Library. You’ll be supporting all of the innovative programs and crucial services that your community relies on. Please join your friends and neighbors in making a gift today.
