Friends Recognize Retiring Board Members

At its Annual Meeting on June 21st, the Board of the Friends presented “Certificates of Appreciation” to retiring Board members, Alpha Coiro, Pam Roy, Callista Stoddard and Helen Wong.  All were long-time members of the Friends and the Board of Directors and provided numerous years of strong leadership, on-going dedication and hard work and contributed significantly to the success of the Friends organization in support of the Blackstone Library.

What Friends Do

The Friends of the James Blackstone Memorial Library support the library through a variety of fundraising activities including an annual book sale. We sponsor lectures and programs and provide funds for special programming, particularly for the Youth Services Department, as well as funds for the purchase of equipment for the library, museum passes, movies, concerts, furniture and plantings for the library grounds. Anyone can join the Friends of the Blackstone Library. If you have a question for the Friends, please email us at friends@blackstonelibrary.org. Like us on Facebook!
