As the Blackstone Library’s renovation project draws to a close, we reflect on the concepts of growth and change. Blackstone Library’s services, programs, and materials collections have always evolved to meet the changing needs of the Branford community. Now our building is evolving, with the addition of a beautiful new entryway and renovations inside.
With the new layout, we are better able to serve you and the hundreds of people who come into the Blackstone Library each day, helping to develop your personal growth, deepen your knowledge, and broaden your perspectives.
The result? A more empowered community.
In addition to the physical changes to the building, we’re so excited to welcome our new Teen Services Librarian, who is already expanding teen programs, enhancing the teen materials collection, and has become a favorite of many of the teens who regularly visit us.
And despite having limited event space available this year, we continued to offer workshops and classes for your entire family. Many were adapted to be smaller offerings that to fit the space, and some programs were held offsite. This gave you many opportunities for a variety of hands-on, in-person learning!
