Saturday, May 21, the Blackstone Library hosted its first-ever Local Author Expo & Book Fair. Almost 30 local authors were on hand to speak, share their work, and sign copies. Featured Speaker Ann Nyberg opened the event at 1 PM with a discussion of her book, Slices of Life, A Storyteller’s Diary. Throughout the day, attendees got to tour the main floor Reading Room and Rotunda, which were filled with published authors who live right in your community! Kids & teen books, digital reads, nonfiction, and fiction works were all well-represented. The adult author panel, featuring Regina Kyle, Anthony Riccio, and Cheryl Della Pietra, discussed writing and publishing romance, nonfiction and oral histories, and works of fiction. The children’s author panel, featuring Karen Fortunati, Ryan SanAngelo, and Carol Lyn Woodring, covered writing and publishing for younger children, adolescents, and young adults. Thank you to all the authors and everyone who came out to meet them.
