Summer Reading: A Universe of Stories

Summer reading is coming and you have 2 ways to participate.

StoryWalk is a “progressive” picture book where families can read an entire book while walking along Main Street. With help from Branford’s local merchants and our sponsors we were able to bring this program to life!

Readers in kindergarten and up are welcome to read the book and complete the StoryWalk bonus challenges featured on each page. Once participants complete all the challenges and drop off their map they will be eligible for multiple prize drawings at summer’s end.

Met your school summer reading goal! Drop by the Blackstone Library to pick up a lawn sign with the graphic featured above and let your community know that you are a goal achiever. All you need is your pledge sheet and list of books you completed. So, start reading so that we can see how many lawns we can fill come August.

These programs have been made possible by the Guilford Savings Bank, Friends of the James Blackstone Memorial Library and Allan Louis Loeb Foundation. We cannot thank you enough.
