The Blackstone Library is pleased to host Carlos Hernandez, author of Sal & Gabi Break the Universe, winner of the 2020 Pura Belpré Award as well as his companion book, this month’s Rick Riordan Presents Book Club pick – Sal & Gabi Fix the Universe. He is currently an English professor at the City University of New York.
During this book talk we will learn a little about Mr. Hernandez, his writing process and what inspires his middle grade novels. Then he will open the “virtual” floor for some Q&A; zeroing in on Sal & Gabi Fix the Universe since that is the title our middle grade book club just completed.
