We’ve all had days when we can’t even. But anxiety, stress & depression are more than just being in a bad mood–they’re real health struggles that can impact you both mentally & physically. Whether you need a place to talk it out or just a place to unwind, drop-in any time between 3:30-4:30pm for a relaxation craft, meditation & other activities with Miss Carly & Maggy Trapasso, LSCW from Branford Counseling & Community Services. The craft is open to all teens; Maggy will be available to provide information and answer any questions you might have.  This is a stress-free zone, so no signup is required, drop-ins welcome. Event made possible by Branford Counseling & Community Services. Sponsored by The Friends of Blackstone Library. Meeting this month in the Auditorium

Latin III  will begin with a review of chapters 28-40 of Ecce Romani II. At the completion of all 27 chapters of  the text, the group will move on to translating and discussing annotated passages from Ovid, et. al. A complimentary copy of Ecce Romani II will be provided as long as the supply lasts.

Navigating the world of special education can be tricky and learning how to best advocate for your special needs child(ren) can be cumbersome that is why Suzanne Remington-Fox has created a series of sessions on recently adopted guidelines, how to read through an IEP, understanding acronyms in the field as well as how to reinforce learning at home. 

Session Topics Include:
September: Advocating for your Special Needs Child(ren)
October: Guidance through the Individual Education Plan (IEP)
November: Putting it all Together so that Support is Maintained at Home
