A club for intermediate students who want to make a difference!

Are you an intermediate student who loves books, crafts, and making the world a better place? Consider joining our Junior Teen Advisory Group! This small counsel of dedicated middle-grade students volunteers to provide book reviews, vote on books to purchase & more.

Starting in September, on a trial basis, we’re going back to in-person JTAG meetings at the library! To help keep families safe, we’re offering a variety of in-person & virtual events @ Blackstone Teen Services. A waiting list will open when the event is full. Please be respectful of limited space & only sign up for events you are sure you can attend. If you are sick, please do not attend, but let Miss Sarah know as soon as possible.

Latin III  will begin with a review of chapters 28-40 of Ecce Romani II. At the completion of all 27 chapters of  the text, the group will move on to translating and discussing annotated passages from Ovid, et. al. A complimentary copy of Ecce Romani II will be provided as long as the supply lasts.

The Blackstone Library is one of the most impressive buildings in Connecticut, but it’s home to so many beautiful details it’s almost impossible to take them all in. Join Branford town historian Jane Bouley for an in depth look at the architecture and craftsmanship of the Blackstone. She’ll take you on a journey through details big and small that’s sure to inspire a new appreciation for the library and all it’s architectural glory.
