What is Lyman Hall Presents? This summer, Lyman Hall High School students are showing off their animal knowledge in a series of all-ages programs at Blackstone Library, to teach us what they know! While the focus will be on presenting information for children and teens, parents, grandparents, and learners of all ages are welcome to join us, as well!

All About Snakes: Have you ever wondered what it’s like to own a pet snake? Join our Teen Services Librarian, Miss Sarah, and a special a guest presenter, Paige from Lyman Hall, to find out! We’ll learn all about various species of pet snakes, their behavior, proper care, and what it takes to become a snake owner. Plus we’ll meet Benny the Ball Python! Registration is required to receive a meeting link. Open to all ages.

Connecticut is completing three-year project for The Connecticut Bird Atlas.  This undertaking combined efforts of the public with DEEP and University researchers to tabulate the populations of all birds found here in Connecticut.  Changes have been seen in many species.  Two species, the Ovenbird and Wood Thrush will be highlighted by Min Huang, Wildlife Biologist and one of the Coordinators of the atlas project, to show changes and new knowledge about these species.
